Ivan Manyonga

Ivan Manyonga is a seasoned International Development expert with more than 10 years’
hands on in designing and implementing community based international development projects.
He gained his experience by working with Non-Governmental Organizations, UN Agencies,
and the Academia. Before joining the Enviro Roundtable, he was head of the grants
management portfolio at Midlands State University (MSU). Prior to this, he was the Records
Management Associate at International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Head Office in Vienna.
In this role Ivan coordinated member states projects on peaceful use of nuclear technology for
development initiatives implemented in Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia, and the
Pacific Region. Key to this was financial management skills he acquired in coordinating
Regular Budgets, Technical Corporation Funding (TCF) Voluntary Contributions, and Extra-
Budgetary commitments made by member states to fund IAEA nuclear technology projects.
Furthermore, he was also the lead evaluator on access to renewable energy technology and
rural development, a joint project between Practical Action Southern Africa and the University
of Vienna. Moreover, he was engaged by World Vision Zimbabwe as Project Officer
implementing community based child focused development projects. He also worked for the
Government of Zimbabwe as the UNICEF Grant coordinator. In terms of his academic
qualifications, he holds BSc Honors Degree in Development Studies from the University of
South Africa (UNISA), Master of Science in Degree in Sustainable Development from MODUL
University Vienna, and PhD in International Development from the University of Vienna,
Austria where he specialized in environment and renewable energy technologies.
Thomas Chiramba

Professor Thomas Chiramba has a unique combination of complementary post graduate qualifications - PhD degree in Civil Engineering (Municipal), Master’s degree in Architecture plus a Certificate in Housing Finance. He has over 20 years of varied experience in urban planning, public infrastructure development & operations, use and protection of water and the environment at local, national and international levels. His expertise includes among others, interacting with decision makers and stakeholders, facilitating negotiations and crafting mutually agreeable solutions on sensitive and contentious issues, Extensive knowledge about policies, laws, codes and regulations and their formulation in housing, urban development, infrastructure, water and environment. In addition, Professor Chiramba has vast experience in coordinating portfolio of projects in different settings, scoping & executing projects with emphasis on delivery of results on time and within set budgets as well as proven ability to undertake high level supervision of large and complex construction projects. Furthermore, he has hands on knowledge and experience of operating and maintaining public infrastructure and facilities (municipal) and has deep commitment to consideration of social and environmental aspects in development interventions for sustainability.
Mark Makomborero Matsa

Professor Mark Makomborero Matsa is an academic and researcher in climate change, environmental change and community development with emphasis on community resilience building initiatives. His competences include project planning - conducting baseline and feasibility studies, situational analysis, and vulnerability assessments, community based planning and resilience building skills. Furthermore, he is an expert in performance management focusing on designing monitoring and evaluation systems, survey design and project implementation. In addition, he is well experienced in qualitative and quantitative research skills including GIS and remote sensing. His PhD is in climate change and climate variability on minority farmer communities in South-Western Zimbabwe with particular emphasis on Binga, Bulilima and Beit Bridge. He has worked with the Zimbabwe Resilience Building Fund and UNDP in the Enhancing Community Resilience and Sustainability (ECRAS) project in Chiredzi and Mwenezi Districts (2017-2020), and also the Enhancing Community Resilience and Inclusive Market Systems (ECRIMS) (2019-2021) in Mberengwa and Zvishavane Districts. Prof Matsa has worked with the University of Reading and the World Food Programme on the Participatory Integrated Climate Services for Agriculture (PICSA) in Rushinga, Chipinge, Mwenezi, Mangwe and Masvingo Districts. He also has wide experience in working with the Government of Zimbabwe and UNDP on the Green Climate Fund Project “Building Climate Resilience of Vulnerable Agricultural Livelihoods in Southern Zimbabwe”. Prof Matsa has won many grants, attended numerous conferences and workshops and has over 70 publications including several books. He also has interest in agriculture and cross border trading as an escape by the youth, women and other community members from climate-related shocks and stressors.
Antony Mamuse

Eng, Dr. Antony Mamuse is a distinguished geologist, senior lecturer, and former Dean of the
Faculty of Engineering and Geosciences at Midlands State University (MSU) in Zimbabwe. He
holds a BSc (Honours) in Geology from the University of Zimbabwe, as well as an MSc and
PhD in Applied Geology, both from Curtin University in Australia. During his time in Australia,
Antony served as an Exploration Project Geologist at Fortescue Metals Group, a consultant to
the Geological Survey of Western Australia, and a Research Geologist at Intierra Pty Ltd, where
he contributed to significant geological research and resource development initiatives. In 2013,
Antony joined MSU, where he continues to lead academic and research excellence in geology.
His work emphasizes sustainability and innovation across the mineral value chain, including
exploration, mining, mineral processing, and rehabilitation. Additionally, Antony drives
impactful research on strategic minerals, industrial minerals, and hydrocarbons, addressing
global challenges in the mining and resource sectors.
Lloyd Nyemba

Lloyd Nyemba a professional multidisciplinary engineer and green technologies expert with over 20 years’ experience in green technologies development, engineering design and management; renewable energy engineering; water and environmental engineering; project management; and research and development. Lloyd’s experience span over energy and power development, mining, agro-processing, manufacturing and water engineering amongst others, covering project management, business leadership, consultancy services and hands on implementation including supervision. He has been a key leader in projects of strategic significance in national, regional and international impact, having successfully led projects in large multinationals in mining, municipal and energy sectors in the region.
Lloyd started his professional career as a trainee with Almin Metal Industries and BOC Gases in Harare, Zimbabwe before joining Timbercraft and Kleko as a Projects Engineer responsible for the development and implementation of new projects. After successful completion of major factory projects, Lloyd joined Frupac International (later called Exhort Enterprises – a food processing company) as a Factory Engineer and later on promoted to Factory Manager. After serving the company for 5 years, Lloyd left for South Africa where he ventured into the research and technology development field as a Research and Development Engineer funded and run by the African Materials Science and Engineering Network (AMSEN), running it water engineering; alternative energies and nanotechnology projects. Having served distinctively for 3 years, Lloyd joined the Scientific and Industrial Research and Development Centre as a Principal Research and Development Engineer responsible for energy and industrial engineering projects in collaboration with key national institutions, private players, developmental organisations and multinational companies. After a productive and distinctive 5 years with SIRDC, Lloyd left the company to persue own interest in energy and technology development. He has overseen the development of key renewable energy projects with organisations such as UNICEF, UNESCO, SNV and CNFA amongst others; industrial development projects with institutions such as Engineering Iron and Steel Association of Zimbabwe (EISAZ); ZEPARU (Zimbabwe Economic Policy Analysis and Research Unit) and the International Trade Centre (ITC) amongst others.
Lloyd’s expertise is backed by solid qualifications. He is a holder of a BSc Engineering Honours (Mechanical) from the University of Zimbabwe; MSc Engineering (with distinction) from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa; Certified Energy Auditor (with distinction) from the Association of Energy Engineers, Atlanta, Georgia, USA; as well as other certifications in solar (photovoltaics and thermal); green technology related and geo-informatics. He is an accredited Engineer certified by the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe (ECZ); and the South African Institution of Mechanical Engineers (SAIMechE); Member of the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers (ZIE); and the Association of Energy Engineers, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. In his spare time, Lloyd enjoys swimming and tennis and takes some time off to mentor young professionals and youths in general.
Angela Msipha

Angela Msipha is an industrial engineer with over 14 years of consulting experience covering industrial audits, feasibility studies, project management and business process re-engineering. A Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) Trainer responsible for implementing SCORE, an International Labour Organization (ILO) global programme. Angela has trained and implemented the Workplace cooperation and Productivity through Cleaner Production SCORE Modules on enterprises in Zimbabwe. She also implemented Lean Management on more than 20 enterprises under the Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme for the Engineering, Iron and Steel Sector, project funded by the European Union (EU) and facilitated by the International Trade Centre (ITC) and implemented by the Engineering, Iron and Steel Association of Zimbabwe (EISAZ) under the Trade and Private Sector Development Programme (TPSDP). In addition, she has experience in providing consultancy to small-medium and large enterprises in Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), aligning operations to World Class Manufacturing Systems and ensuring environmental sustainability of operations. In terms of professional qualifications, Angela holds, Bachelor of Technology (BTech) Honours Degree in Production Engineering from Chinhoyi University of Technology, Master of Science Degree (MSc) Manufacturing Systems & Operations Management from the University of Zimbabwe and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Edinburgh Business School which she studied through the Canon Trust Scholarship for MBA studies. Lastly she is a recipient of the CV Raman Fellowship for African researchers in India where she focused on advanced manufacturing.
Caleb Garura

Caleb Garura holds Bsc HPA (UZ), Diploma Human Resources (IPMZ), Diploma Industrial Relations (IPM UK) FM (IPMZ), and EDP from University of Capetown. He is an accomplished human resources practitioner with over 20 years’ experience spanning over several sectors including Banking, Mining, Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing to mention but a few . He has held various senior Human Resources Portfolios in most of those companies including some listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange. He has also held Executive Membership roles at National Employment Council and Employer Bodies at a senior level . He has consulted widely on various key aspects of human resources and organisational development in Zimbabwe and the region to diverse organisations ranging from private corporates , government / quasi government institutions and NGOs. An accredited and accomplished trainer Caleb can handle training assignments across all levels of management with ease. He is a past None Executive Board Member for Allied Timbers Zimbabwe Private Limited and a current None Executive Board Member for Hilbright Science College which has campuses in Harare , Mutare and Vumba , None Executive Director for ADRA -Zimbabwe , a Trustee Board Member for the Zimbabwe Union SDA Pension Fund and Dratel a detergent manufacturing company.
Elvis Mupfiga

Elvis Mupfiga is an accomplished professional in the field of land and water resources management, with a strong background in agricultural engineering, GIS and remote sensing. He holds a Master's degree in International Land and Water Management from Wageningen University and Research Centre in the Netherlands, a Master's degree in Environmental Policy and Planning from the University of Zimbabwe, and a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering with honors from the University of Zimbabwe. With a passion for sustainable water use and management, Elvis has been involved in numerous projects and consultancy work throughout his career. One notable project was his role as a Consultant - Environmental, Data, and Geographic Information Systems Expert for the Government of Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA). In this capacity, he played a key role in the development of the Dam Rehabilitation Prioritization Tool (DRPT) which subsequently led to a Management Information System for dams and irrigation infrastructure in Zimbabwe. His responsibilities included identifying criteria, indicators, and sub-indicators, leveraging remote sensing and GIS for data collection, and piloting the DRPT. Elvis has also contributed to various other projects, such as conducting training workshops on water resources and watershed management, performing feasibility studies for irrigation and rural water supply, and participating in land use planning initiatives for agricultural projects. His skills in hydrological modeling, irrigation design, and soil erosion modeling have been instrumental in these endeavors.
Elvis’s passion is in lecturing as such before joining the Environment Trust of Zimbabwe, he was lecturing in Land and Water Resources Management themes. He has published several peer-reviewed journal articles and contributed to a book chapter, showcasing his research and commitment to advancing knowledge in his field. His research work has focused on topics such as climate change knowledge, habitat suitability mapping, land use and land cover change analysis, and sedimentation assessment in dam catchments. With strong research skills, proficiency in GIS and remote sensing software, and the ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments, Elvis is recognized for his contributions to the field of land and water resources management. He is dedicated to sustainable resource management and continues to make significant contributions through his professional work, research, and teaching.
Tawanda Marongwe

Tawanda Marongwe has 20 years work experience in handling and management of
Hazardous chemicals. This includes manufacturing processes that handle hazardous
chemicals to dealing clean-ups of hazmat spillages and environmental remediation of
contaminated sites. Tawanda has more than 10 years’ experience as an Environmental management
consultant in a Managing consultant capacity, leading project teams on various
Environmental and Social Impact Assessment. He has experience in Waste Treatment plants
rehabilitation and Hazardous waste Management. His sectors of experience include: Road
Construction , exploration, mining and processing, power generation including hydro
power plants, transmission lines, infrastructure including housing projects and energy
projects.
Elvis Chitsungo

Elvis Chitsungo have a strong project management experience covering project design and adaptive management, implementation, budget tracking and management focused on improving the wellbeing of children and communities. He holds a Masters of Education Degree - Educational Administration, Planning and Policy Studies, Bachelor of Education degree and Diploma in Education. He is currently the Director for the Education Coalition of Zimbabwe (ECOZ). Prior to this he worked for Higherlife Foundation as an Executive Director - Strategic Partnerships and, was responsible for managing, coordinating and maintaining effective relationships with strategic partners at national level. Furthermore, he worked for the Ministry of Primary and secondary Education as an Education Officer. Capernaum Trust as a Senior Manager and General Manager respectively. Elvis is passionate about matters related to development work in environment and climate change, leadership development, disaster risk and management.
