Zimbabwe Low Emission Coaliton

Convening Zimbabwe’s Leading Organisations to Commit to  low emmissions by 2050.

Zimbabwe Low Emission Coaliton is a national collaboration between pioneering companies, public institutions, and sectorial experts to deliver the goal of low emmissions by 2050. The coalition will establish the roadmap and framework through which Zimbabwe’s private sector  can accelerate its sustainability transition and deliver this low emmission goal.

Carbon Programme

Enabling Private Investment to Finance Ecosystem Restoration for Zimbabwe

Our first flagship Carbon Programme is being developed to enable global capital to finance a portfolio of carbon offsetting projects across Zimbabwe. All projects seek to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and can range from restoring degraded forests to improving access to renewable energy.

All projects within our Carbon Programme deliver carbon offset credits.

Wildlife Conservation

Conserving viable populations of the elephants, One-horned Rhino and Cheetah in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe is considered one of the world’s major biodiversity hotspots, but consistent with the global trend of biodiversity loss, the country rich biodiversity is under threat. Biodiversity in all provinces of Zimbabwe provides ecosystem services in the form of ecological and economic support to rural-to-rural communities, with agro-biodiversity alone employing about 40% of Zimbabwe labour force.
